Catskill Fishing Report Spring 17'
May 31, 2017 - There have been some hatches starting with various caddis, march browns, and hendricksons spotted on the Catskill streams as well as the west branch of the Ausable river.

May 2, 2017 - Winter often seals the lakes and ponds under a thick cover of ice until the middle of May. Mothers Day weekend in the middle of May has always been considered a prime time for fishing for square tails (brook trout) on the backcountry ponds.

Lake George Fishing Report 5/4
May 5, 2014 - The bite was nonexistent for the trout and we had difficulty locating them. They were not in their usual spring time haunts and this may be due to the still very cool water. We measured temperatures from 40 to 47 degrees which may be a bit too cold for them right now and we will wait until it gets a bit warmer and they become more active before we target them again.
