Fishing Report for Oneida Lake April 14, 2017
Apr 17, 2017 - Today was my first boat trip of the season on Oneida Lake and with the warming trend and temperatures predicted to hit 58-60 degrees I felt certain Id get into a few nice fish. It turned out to be a very productive day as the bass were chewing most of the day.

Jul 21, 2016 - Lake Ontario and tributaries Action on Lake Ontario continues to be very good for trout and salmon trollers working out of the mouth of the river, Wilson and Olcott. In the Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Associations King Salmon Tournament last weekend, Fisherman's Daughter came away with the win for big fish 27 pounds 14 ounces and the 3-2-3 win with 65.56 pounds for three fish!

Brown trout are starting to turn on for shoreline trollers using stickbaits in tight to the shoreline, but with the recent wind and weather stick close to the creek outflows to take advantage of the attractive qualities of the warmer waters.

Mar 25, 2015 - For the spin guys, bottom bouncing was working better than floats, if you don't mind re-rigging half the time. With the low water the floats may have been spooking the fish. People caught fish with floats, but it seemed less productive.

We’ve had unstable conditions. And, the water has been much cooler than it normally is all spring and summer.
