Adirondack Spring 2015 Fishing Report

Apr 15, 2015 - Things are taking off in Lake Ontario, just in time for the spring fishing derbies. Brown trout are starting to turn on for shoreline trollers using stickbaits in tight to the shoreline, but with the recent wind and weather stick close to the creek outflows to take advantage of the attractive qualities of the warmer waters.

Mar 25, 2015 - For the spin guys, bottom bouncing was working better than floats, if you don't mind re-rigging half the time. With the low water the floats may have been spooking the fish. People caught fish with floats, but it seemed less productive.

Feb 11, 2015 - On Monday we picked up several inches of snow from Winter Storm Marcus, but the highest of snow totals were south of us in the Syracuse area. With cold and snowy conditions, slush ice was a factor in the lower end of the river and did not clear.
