Aug 27, 2014 - On Lake Ontario the fishing has greatly picked up especially for the King salmon catch.
All year classes are being reported in the 26 to 29 line area and from 40 to 90 feet down.

Big Salmon Finally Showing On Lake Ontario

Aug 6, 2014 - This has not been a normal season on Lake Ontario. We had the coldest winter on record. We had the most ice we’ve ever seen. We’ve had drastically changing winds. We’ve had unstable conditions. And, the water has been much cooler than it normally is all spring and summer. For some reason the numbers of salmon we’ve been accustomed to seeing aren’t here right now.

Jul 8, 2014 - The current flow is 350 cfs but it will be going to 750cfs as of 7/04. These high flows sometimes trigger Skamania strain steelhead and Atlantic salmon to enter the river. Otherwise thing are slow on the river at this time.
