Orleans County Fishing Report 4/24

Apr 23, 2014 - Oak Orchard River still has good fishing for Brown trout and Rainbow trout as well as Perch, Walleye and Bass although Walleye and Bass are still out of season.
The other tributaries also are providing some good fishing which includes Bullhead.

STRIPER UPDATE, SATURDAY APRIL19, 2014

Apr 21, 2014 - Today's reports were of moderate striper action all up and down the river (Albany was seemingly dead) but, surprisingly, we have not heard of any bigger fish (over 30 inches) as of yet. We did receive a report of numerous pods of fish advancing upriver from the Kingston region.

Niagara Fishing Forecast for Thursday, April 17, 2014

Apr 17, 2014 - Shoreline trollers in the lake are picking up browns and Coho salmon with regularity, using stickbaits to attract these feisty fish to hit. Dennis Hoffman of North Tonawanda reported good success on Cohos usually any silver colored Rapala stickbait long lined or fished off boards in 8-10 feet of water. Steelhead were in 8 to 20 feet of water in front of Four Mile Creek.

Mar 27, 2014 - Burt Dam and 18 Mile Creek has been a good place to be, with egg sacs, single eggs or jigs fished under a float and tipped with a wax worm the best approach. White has been a good color to start with. Steelhead is the primary focus, but there might be a few browns around.
