Salmon River Report 2/20/15

Feb 20, 2015 - Slush ice was a factor in the mid to lower end of the river and did not clear. The upper end of the river in Altmar has not been getting slush ice and is where most anglers are fishing on a daily basis.

Feb 12, 2015 - They have a contest going on until March 15 so get signed up and start catching! There are two divisions – panfish and pike. Some nice pike were being caught out of Olcott Harbor this past week.

Feb 11, 2015 - On Monday we picked up several inches of snow from Winter Storm Marcus, but the highest of snow totals were south of us in the Syracuse area. With cold and snowy conditions, slush ice was a factor in the lower end of the river and did not clear.

During a normal winter Otisco, Honeoye and Canadice lakes freeze completely over at least for a few weeks.
