FishNY.com is recognized as New York’s premier sportfishing directory. Dubbed as “the clearing house for fishing throughout the state” by the Times Union in Albany, the site offers audio streaming updates, resources and directories for everything fishing, discussion forums, a photo gallery and industry news briefings. FishNY.com is the only single, comprehensive resource for all styles of fishing, all species of fish and is truly the most extensive collection of information for fishing in New York that has ever been put together.

Originally launched in 1999, and re-launched in September 2006, FishNY.com has developled the most current, informative website dedicated to sportfishing in New York State.  The explosive growth of online usage and the lack of a single focused all-inclusive sportfishing website have fueled our intent to launch this comprehensive website.  Over the years, we have identified features that differentiate our website from anything currently in the marketplace - and we have only scratched the surface for the amazing technology and inovative features we plan to bring anglers through the site.

Sportfishing as a whole is extremely fragmanted due to its many sub-categories - including saltwater (offshore, inshore), freshwater (lake, stream, river), fly fishing, bass fishing (largemouth, smallmouth, striped), walleye, salmon, steelhead, catfish, and all the other targeted specied that require special tactics or equipment. FishNY.com has defragmented the market for advertisers by organizing content that is dedicated to all facets of sportfishing in New York State.

New York has an astonishing wealth of land and water resources, featuring hundreds of miles of coastline, with estuaries and ocean beaches providing excellent shore casting opportunities. New York also boasts 70,000 miles of rivers and streams, 4,000 lakes and ponds and 2.4 million acres of wetlands.  From Montauk to Lake Erie, freshwater to saltwater, no other state can match the diversity of New York.  Such diversity includes catching a muskie on the St. Lawrence River, hooking up with a king salmon in Lake Ontario, fishing for trout in the Adirondacks, fly fishing in the famous Delaware River, chasing stripers on the Hudson, trolling for lake trout in Lake George, catching giant bass in Lake Champlain, and fishing for walleyes in Lake Erie to just name a few! As New York continues to grow as the premiere fishing destination for anglers across the country, FishNY.com will continue to be the most valuable way to target fisherman of all waters, species and methods.
