Captain Brendan McCarthy founded Urban Fly-Guides in 1998. Brendan has been fortunate to be on the water since he was a child. Since moving to NYC in 1990 and, ironically, discovering Fly-Fishing, has been completely immersed in the sport ever since. Is lucky to be named one of Urban Angler's guides and voted in the Top 5 Guides by New York Magazine. Lives in Manhattan and the Hamptons, depending on the time of year and best fishing opportunities. Brendan fishes Jamaica Bay April, May, June, November, December. Gardiners Bay/Hamptons/Montauk for June, July and August and Montauk exclusively for September and October.
