President Signs Wildlife Conservation Bills

As Congress wrapped up business before adjourning on September 29th, they approved a number of bills related to wildlife conservation. This week, President Bush signed these bills into law.

"We are pleased to see the Congress acting on so many legislative issues that move conservation forward," said Dale Hall, Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. "These laws enhance our work with partners to implement on the ground conservation efforts."

New York State Federation of Lake Associations

The New York State Federation of Lake Associations, Inc. (NYSFOLA) was founded in 1983 by a small consortium of lake associations concerned about a variety of problems facing their lakes. Water quality was of concern to nearly all of the lakes, and there was little information available on methods to combat the increasing presence of aquatic invasive species.

The Oneida Lake Association (OLA) was founded in 1945 to protect, restore and preserve the natural resources of Oneida Lake and its surrounding ecosystem. The OLA represents its 4,000+ members in legislative and environmental issues which impact Oneida Lake.

Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership

The TRCP Organization: The TRCP is a non-profit organization driven by a Board of Directors and a Policy Council made up of leaders from many of the country’s top hunting, fishing and conservation groups. We have a national focus on access and conservation issues affecting hunting and angling and are supported by our own nationwide network of over 90,000 sportsmen and women and more than 1,400 affiliated local and state-level clubs and organizations, that themselves represent nine million Americans.
